Home Sweet Home

Hey everyone! As you can tell by the title, I'm finally home. One more notch on my deployment belt complete.

I promise to update later this week when I get everything at home back in order- for now I'm glad I got around to updating my blog background. The brown and blue remind me of my kitchen, which is decorated in the same shades.

Can't wait to decorate for Christmas!

Does that mean you may have to go again later?

Let me know if you're going to be in the area and want to get together! I have my new sewing machine all set up and made a bunch of doll slings yesterday.

It's very likely that I'll deploy at least one more time while I'm stationed here. Fingers crossed that I won't have to, but I have to be realistic.

I didn't mean to ignore you on Facebook! I just remembered that you messaged me last week. I did go back to work today, but I'm in Clemson just about every weekend.

Do you have a book you can recommend for the slings as well? I think I remember you saying that you learned from someone else, but I'm not sure...

I used these directions: http://www.ida.net/users/stace/sling.html

And also Jan Andrea's website for making the reversible sling. It's so easy, and I don't think it would be necessary to get a book with all the internet resources out there.

Maybe we can get together one weekend. We are going to the goat farm for their holiday open house on Saturday, and Sunday there's an alternative gift fair in Greenville, but maybe in a week or two.
