Also, I saw your comment to me from Sally Ann's post about selling any unwanted pocket dipes. It's a deal, hehe!
So far, they're working but I need to get some different inserts so they won't be so bulky. I think.
I've also tried (twice) a prefold with a Snappi and a cover. I'm still learning how to do that, and my wiggly baby doesn't make it easy. I know that I can lay a prefold in thirds for those snug-fitting covers, and that might be what I end up doing.
We're rolling with the prefolds, snappis, and a variety of covers. I plan on trying them all out, then buying more of whichever I end up liking best. The pockets I have will be reserved for day care use. And yes, from my diapering mini-class, I learned that it's just as effective with some covers to lay the prefolds in thirds. I think it's all about experimenting and finding out what works for you. You could also try some wool covers for nighttime- they're super absorbent and don't retain odor at all!
Married to Brett.
Mommy to human babies Louisa Mae (aka Lucy), June Elizabeth (aka Junie), and baby #3 due in September.
Mommy to furry baby Savannah (golden retriever) and a smallish backyard chicken flock.
I wasn't born in the South, but I got here as quick as I could!
